Roopa’s first novel, Bitter Sweets, was nominated for the Orange Award for New Writers 2007, and followed by four further novels which have been longlisted for the 2010 Orange Prize and the 2011 Impac Dublin Literary Award, published internationally and translated into a dozen languages.
