Parvez’s Playlist
A musical dilattante’s favourite tracks

Parvez Khan:
It’s hard to choose your top four playlist, your desert island selection, as it’s always changing, depending on what’s happening in your life. When you’re in love, you only hear love songs, when you’re raising kids, you sing songs
that you can swing your boys around to, and make them laugh. And sometimes, a sad song coming on the radio at the right time, or perhaps I mean the wrong time, can just make you want to cry your eyes out with the utter tragedy of it all. But I’ve had a think, remembering all the good times, the tough times, and the bloody awful times, and I’ve managed to come up with a list of sorts. It was hard to narrow it down to four songs, and they’re in no particular order of preference. I wouldn’t try to play these in one go; they wouldn’t make a good soundtrack to a party, they’re really just a soundtrack
to someone’s life.
